TV Operating Instructions
Watching Cable TV
The cable box is already connected to HDMI 1.
To Turn On the TV
  1. Press the Power button on the TCL remote.
  2. Press the Power button on the cable box remote (if the cable box is not already on).
  3. The TV should automatically display the cable box on HDMI 1.
If the Cable Channels Do Not Appear
  1. Press the Input/Source button on the TCL remote.
  2. Select HDMI 1.
  3. Press OK.

Most television viewing functions are controlled through the cable box remote rather than the TV remote.
Adjusting Volume

Using Streaming Apps Without a Google Account
The TV is set up to work primarily with the cable box and does not require a Google account for basic operation.
Some streaming apps may be available in guest mode or may allow direct sign-in with your personal subscription account.
If You Would Like to Use Your Own Google Account
You are welcome to sign in with your personal Google account during your stay.
To Sign In
  1. Press the Home button on the TCL remote.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Select Accounts & Sign In.
  4. Select Add Account.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions using:
    • Your Google account email and password, or
    • The phone-based sign-in option.
 
Signing Out Before Departure
To remove your account when you leave:
  1. Press Home.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Accounts & Sign In.
  4. Select your Google account.
  5. Choose Remove Account.
This removes your personal information from the TV.
If the TV Requests a Google Account Sign-In
Occasionally, a previous user may have inadvertently changed settings. If the TV is stuck on a Google sign-in screen and you cannot access cable TV, perform a factory reset:

Factory Reset Instructions

  1. Press the Gear/Settings button
  2. Select System
  3. Select About
  4. Choose Reset then select Factory Reset.
  5. Select Factory Reset or Erase Everything again to confirm.
  6. Enter PIN if requested- The TV might show a PIN code on the screen or ask for your security PIN.
    • Try default codes like 0000 or 1234.
  7. The TV will turn off automatically, clear its memory, and turn back on to the initial setup screen.
Initial Setup After Reset
  1. Select your preferred language.
  2. When prompted to sign in with Google, choose "Skip" or "Set Up Basic TV" if available.
  3. Continue through the setup screens.
  4. When setup is complete:
    • Press Input
    • Select HDMI 1
You should now see the cable box and can watch TV without signing into Google.
